King of the pears! The ever so popular Kosui. One of the juiciest and sweetest pears. When eaten cold, the flesh is crunchy and each bite so ever refreshing. A great treat for the summer heat.
Harvest Period
The harvest period for the Kosui nashi is estimated to be between the end of July and the first week of August. (After the obon). This is dependent on the weather and will vary each year.
Packages & Weight
Each piece of the Kosui nashi weighs approximately between 375g and 500g. Therefore, it is estimated that:
3kg package contains between 6 and 8 pieces of pears
5kg package contains between 8 and 14 pieces of pears
10kg package contains between 16 and 28 pieces of pears
Storage & Care
For longer freshness, consider storing the nashi by wrapping each one with newspaper and put in the plastic bag before storing in the fridge.
